International Cooperation Committee
The International Cooperation Committee proceeds with collecting and exchanging information on housing, building, and urban development that affects multiple countries, as well as interaction with related people in cooperation with related organizations, associations, and others.
- Description of Main Activities
- Cooperate with governmental organizations, international organizations, industrial associations of partner countries, and others.
・For example, become a member of the International Housing Association (IHA), an association which 13 related countries and organizations joined from five continents as of March 2023, which aims to share information pertaining to housing and building with housing-related organizations around the world and meet challenges with them.
Note: From 2022, JUBH’s Secretary of International Affairs will serve as Chairman of IHA for term of a two-year and one-year extension, taking leadership in discussions with related countries. - Make efforts toward the international framework in which three or more countries are engaged.
・For example, participate in “WOODRISE,” an international congress that promotes mid-rise and high-rise wooden buildings through creating and interacting networks of technology, information, and human resources.
- Cooperate with governmental organizations, international organizations, industrial associations of partner countries, and others.
Regional Committee
The Regional Committee aims to collect information on housing, building, and urban development in the countries that are closely related to Japan, as well as contribute to the development and relations of friendship/goodwill of both countries through the interaction and cooperation with related organizations and associations in the housing, building, and urban development field.
- Description of Main Activities
- Construct cooperative relations with administrative agencies, industrial organizations, and others in the housing, building, and urban development fields.
・For example, activities based on the memorandums of understanding with related organizations and industrial organizations such as Housing Industry Association Ltd of Australia (HIA). - Dispatch business delegations, which contribute to member companies in terms of their overseas business developments.
・For example, interact and construct a relation with governmental organizations, industrial organizations, and private-sector corporations of partner countries, as well as provide opportunities for information dissemination about member companies’ overseas businesses. - Other businesses that contribute to member companies’ business promotion on housing, building, and urban development.
・For example, conduct market research for analyzing various countries’ laws and markets.
- Construct cooperative relations with administrative agencies, industrial organizations, and others in the housing, building, and urban development fields.
